On 14–15 July 2026, the partners of the Erasmus+ project NEDLib – Digital Competence and Information Literacy for Librarians (Project No. 2023-1-BG01-KA220-ADU-000167178) held their Final Transnational Project Meeting in Bulgaria.
The meeting took place at the Research and Development Center of the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) in Stoikite, Smolyan region, and brought together representatives of the partner organisations from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Latvia and Portugal.
The Final TPM was dedicated to reviewing the implementation of the project, discussing the completed activities and results, and coordinating the remaining tasks before the official completion of NEDLib. Particular attention was given to the finalisation of the project outputs, reporting activities, dissemination, documentation and the sustainability of the results achieved during the partnership.
The partners also discussed the NEDLib e-learning platform, including the verification of the uploaded educational materials, the organisation of the learning content and the final checks required to ensure that the platform and its resources are ready for continued use after the end of the project.
Another important part of the meeting was the review of the activities implemented in the partner countries, including the local training sessions, multiplier events and Summer Schools. The partners exchanged feedback on their experience and discussed the impact of the activities on librarians, library users and the participating institutions.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the cooperation established during the project and on the results achieved through the joint work of the consortium. The partners also discussed possibilities for maintaining the professional network created through NEDLib and for further promoting digital competence and information literacy within the library community.
As part of the programme, the NEDLib team also participated in a series of professional and cultural visits in the Smolyan and Plovdiv regions. The partners visited the Regional Library in Smolyan, cultural and historical institutions in the region, the City Library “Paisii Hilendarski” in Asenovgrad, as well as cultural institutions in Plovdiv. These visits provided additional opportunities for professional exchange, learning about local practices and strengthening cooperation among the partners.
The Final Transnational Project Meeting marked the conclusion of an intensive period of international collaboration within NEDLib and offered the consortium an opportunity to review the project’s achievements, discuss its long-term impact and look towards future cooperation.
🤝 The NEDLib partnership would like to thank all partners, librarians, host institutions and colleagues who contributed to the successful implementation of the project and to the organisation of the final meeting in Bulgaria.
