The National Library of Latvia (LNB) has published a comprehensive overview of the Latvian participation in the Erasmus+ project NEDLib – Digital Competence and Information Literacy for Librarians.
The publication follows the development of NEDLib in Latvia from the beginning of the project in 2023 through its final activities in 2026. It presents the involvement of Latvian key librarians, their international training activities, the development and testing of educational resources, local training initiatives, project meetings and the implementation of the NEDLib Summer School in Riga.
A major highlight was the Latvian NEDLib Summer School, held at the National Library of Latvia from 2 to 4 June 2026, bringing together 28 librarians and library users from Latvia, Portugal, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. The programme combined lectures and practical activities focused on media and information literacy, propaganda, advertising, digital tools, gamification and creative approaches to learning.
The overview also highlights the participation of the Latvian team in the NEDLib Final Conference in Sofia and the Final Transnational Project Meeting in Bulgaria in July 2026, marking the conclusion of almost three years of international cooperation.
The publication demonstrates the strong contribution of the National Library of Latvia and the participating Latvian libraries to the implementation, dissemination and sustainability of NEDLib results.
