From 19 to 21 May 2026, the NEDLib Summer School took place at the Almada Municipal Library in Almada, Portugal, bringing together librarians and library users from Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Romania, and Portugal.
The training programme focused on disinformation, a highly relevant and urgent topic in today’s information environment. Through interactive activities, discussions, and the exchange of ideas, participants explored ways to recognise, understand, and address disinformation in library and community contexts.
Organised by the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries and hosted by the Almada Municipal Library, the Summer School also provided valuable opportunities for international cooperation, professional exchange, and networking among participants.
The event successfully contributed to the NEDLib project’s mission of strengthening media and information literacy, promoting digital competences, and supporting libraries in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
