A NEDLib multiplier event took place this week in Kuldīga, Latvia, as part of a methodological day for librarians from the Kuldīga region.
The event focused on international experience and digital skills that support the development of modern, informed and user-oriented library services. It also promoted the Erasmus+ strategic partnership project “Digital Competences and Information Literacy for Librarians” (NEDLib), Project No. 2023-1-BG01-KA220-ADU-000167178.
During the event, Agnese Pašāne, Head of the Competence Development Centre of the National Library of Latvia and regional coordinator of the project, presented the progress of NEDLib and shared the main lessons learned during its implementation.
Sigita Irša, Head of the Services Department of the Kuldīga Main Library, shared her experience and impressions from the NEDLib summer school held in Portugal. Her presentation highlighted the value of international cooperation, professional exchange and practical learning for the development of librarians’ digital and information literacy skills.
In order to refresh and consolidate the knowledge gained through the project, the participants took part in an interactive team game. The game reviewed basic knowledge from the main NEDLib modules, including information literacy, media literacy, and disinformation and fake news recognition.
The event provided an opportunity for librarians from the Kuldīga region to learn more about the NEDLib project, its results and its practical application in library work. It also encouraged the use of interactive methods and digital tools in library-based learning activities.
