Final Dissemination Event of the NEDLib Project Held in Portugal – 30 June 2026

The final dissemination event of the NEDLib – Digital Skills and Information Literacy for Librarians project, entitled “Play to Stay Informed!”, took place in the conference room of Torre do Tombo in Portugal.

The event presented the results of the transnational project, which focused on Information Literacy, Media Literacy, Disinformation and Fake News, and Gamification as key areas for strengthening the role of libraries in today’s digital information environment.

Portugal participated in the project through DGLAB – Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries, with the involvement of five municipal libraries from the National Network of Public Libraries: Almada Municipal Library, Beja Municipal Library – José Saramago, Dr. Alexandre Alves Municipal Library in Mangualde, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Municipal Library in Loulé, and Professor Machado Vilela Municipal Library in Vila Verde.

The event highlighted the importance of cooperation, practical training, and innovative approaches in supporting librarians and library users in developing critical thinking, digital competences, and media and information literacy skills.
