On 29 May 2026, a NEDLib multiplier event was held during the Methodological Day at Preiļi Main Library, Latvia.
During the event, Iveta Bitte, Head of Vārkava Library and librarian at Riebiņi Library, shared her impressions from the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Project NEDLib – Digital Competence and Information Literacy for Librarians and from the training held in Portugal in May 2026.
The presentation focused on the digital tools and educational games used during the training to address media literacy topics. Participants were introduced to practical approaches that can support librarians in their work with users and help make learning more interactive and engaging.
Iveta also shared a brief insight into the Almada Library and Portuguese culture, thus connecting the professional training experience with the wider cultural context of the Erasmus+ mobility.
The event gave librarians from the region the opportunity to learn more about the NEDLib project, its practical results and the ways in which the developed resources can be applied in library work and media literacy education.
