It has been a dynamic yet highly productive week for the Erasmus+ project NEDLib – “Digital Competence and Information Literacy for Librarians,” coordinated by the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT)!
On March 17–18, the second transnational project meeting took place in Riga, Latvia, hosted by the Competence Development Center of the National Library of Latvia (LNB Kompetenču attīstības centrs). The meeting brought together project partners to discuss progress on the development of training modules, upcoming activities, and strategies for enhancing information and media literacy among librarians across Europe.
As part of the program, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the organization and activities of the National Library of Latvia, exploring its innovative approaches to library services and its ongoing initiatives in media literacy and digital education.
On March 20, a dedicated meeting was also held with the key Latvian librarians participating in the NEDLib project, focusing on the exchange of experiences, local implementation of the training modules, and future collaboration within the project framework.
The Riga meetings marked another important step in strengthening cooperation among NEDLib partners and promoting the shared mission of empowering librarians to lead in the field of digital and media literacy.
